Gingerbread Larabars

In case you must know, my third a-line haircut ever turned out great, especially after straightening. =)
So anyway, I got this homemade gingerbread Larabar recipe from Chocolate-Covered Katie.
The three gingerbread amigos.
Rick and I nibbled them up with de-caf coffee from Volcanic Red (buy in bulk at Sprouts!). Other than the tasty drink, I thought the bars were very festive and delicious. Ginger, dates, almonds, cinnamon... all of my favorite things! I will make more of these when we inch closer to Christmas. Click here for the recipe.

Of course, these numbers will all depend on the size you make the gingerbread men out to be.
If you haven't ever had a Larabar let me just say that they are one of the most simplest, healthiest bars out there as they usually only contain 2-6 ingredients per bar! It's also very easy to make them at home with dried fruit (dates work well), nuts, and spices of your choice. The flavors are endless! Also, they make fantastic energy bars. You can find many variations by checking out Katie's blog.

By the way, I just found a simple chow mein recipe and I believe Rick and I will have that for lunch tomorrow.
Got to hit the grocery store now!
