I had no idea. But according to Google searches, a hasperat is a Bajoran snack that resembles a burrito. But before I knew that, the picture in the VeganYumYum blog looked delicious, so my curious self decided to give it a try.
Sharing is caring. ^_^
Richard thought they were great! I liked them too, however, I can't ever seem to like the taste of Bragg's Liquid Aminos no matter how much I try. Even a teaspoon of it repels me. How sad.Despite that, I liked the hasperat and perhaps I will give it another shot using actual soy sauce next time.
And to clear things up, I have nothing against products from Bragg's! They are a very health-oriented brand and I, being a total health nut, fully respect that. In fact, I absolutely love their Ginger Spice drink, which is calorie-free and made with organic apple cider vinegar.
The first sip is a kick in the throat (almost literally) but ginger is one of my favorite root vegetables. It's sweet, spicy, and wonderful for the digestive system. On top of that, I've always had a thing for vinegar. I wonder if Sprouts will ever have those drinks on sale someday...
The second recipe I want to share is based off of Chocolate-Covered Katie's Fudge Babies, but instead of forming them into little yummy orbs, I rolled them flat, patted them with ground flax seeds, and cut them out to resemble cookies.
But they're not!
These aren't cookies at all. They aren't crispy, but they are chewy and more healthier than an average cookie. Consider them oddly-shaped Larabars. Maybe even circular brownies. No matter what you call them, they're are my go-to recipe for raw chocolate bars (or whatever shape I feel like forming them into!). They really satisfy a dark chocolate craving!Speaking of cravings, Rick wants chocolate-chip cookies.
*preheats the oven*...
