Sipz Vegetarian Cafe: North Park

I owe this post to the new Sipz restaurant big time.
As I have mentioned in previous posts, Rick and I love Sipz Vegetarian Cafe so we were psyched when we found out that they're opening up another restaurant at a new location over at North Park.
You might be thinking, "So? They have the same food, silly."
I know, but that's not the point. It's a bit closer to where we live (don't stalk me) and we just like checking out veg places anyway, whether new or old. Plus, it's a great blog topic!
Eee...!
My jaw dropped as we walked in; it's so nice in there! The soft music, the color choice for the walls, the seats, the lighting, and the presentation in general created a chill atmosphere, similar to the relaxing feel of a coffee shop.
They even had a huge wall-mirror so that you can see yourself when you stuff your face!
I could not stop looking around, sitting in my comfty seat and sipping on my water and mango tea (which is free if you pay with cash!).
*sip, sip*
The people were super nice and the food was delicious, as always. I ordered my favorite Thai curry with tofu, which has green bell peppers, diced potatoes, chopped eggplant, sliced mushrooms, and bamboo shoots all in a creamy coconut sauce. I also ordered brown rice and broccoli to go along with the meal. Yum.
Spiciness level: 4
Rick ordered spicy Thai fried rice which has green bell pepper, chopped onions, peas, sliced carrots, basil, and cubes of vegan "beef" (Rick's favorite non-tofu, meat-sub at Sipz) all cooked in a delicious garlic sauce.
Spiciness level: 7
If only I knew their secret recipe to that coconut curry, my goodness... looking at these pictures is making me want more again! We left the restaurant with smiles, happy stomachs... oh, and these:
Only the best vegan oatmeal raisin cookies ever!
It was like oatmeal with brown sugar in cookie form. Soft, sweet, and scrumptious, especially when dunked in almond milk. Amazing.
Going to the new Sipz location in North Park was the most wonderful restaurant experience that we've had in a very long time and we will definitely be coming back for more. The relaxing atmosphere tempts us to bring a friend or two next time. =)
